Yes I was also fearing the worst!
Charles, that's a lovely example you have. I've noticed a definate increase in interest and use of the LTM Leica's recently.
I have the non self timer version. I've collected a range of 50mm lenses for mine, it came with a Summar when I bought it, I have a very clean Summitar which came with another camera, but it needs a CLA as the aperture ring is far too stiff to use. I also have 5cm Elmar 3.5's (black and red scale) and a 2.8.
Personally I think the 3.5 Elmar is the perfect match for the camera and the quality from my old version (I've not yet had time to photograph with red scale or 2.8) is amazing. But of course the Summitar is usefully faster.
Have you posted any photos taken with camera or lens?
