I was lucky enough to find a working Leica MR meter off of e-Bay to attach to my recently acquired M4-2. Or, at least I think I am!

I can attach the device and it appears to lock in place, e.g. the pin on the underside of the knurled wheel slip into the groove on the shutter speed wheel of the M4-2. However, when I turn the knurled wheel, eventually the pin slips out of the groove with the result that the shutter speed wheel no longer moves.

I can avoid this by applying some downward pressure to the knurled wheel as I turn it. Is this normal or have I still not mated the meeter to the camera correctly?
