It happened to me one time out of a few hundred shots. On mine, however, the darker side is on the left while on yours on the right side of the image. That was the only one, so far. It was immediately noticeable on the LCD display. The battery was fresh and I used a Sandisk Ultra II 2GB, at ISO 320, 1/1000 sec.
