I had several 21mm looking for a good sample together with nice bokeh. It's not an easy task. My preferred one was the 21 e60 with close focus, 3d rendering, nice bokeh and perfect in shooting to people groups (close focus and high field curvature error help in this situation, you'll find in your shot more peoples in focus than you think and creamy "Mandler bokeh" in the background). The big problem with this lens is in hyperfocal-shot style, you have to close 2 stops than recommended to obtain decent details at infinity in the whole field. I now have the last 3.4 SE and a 24 Summilux. The first for "simple" shots and the latter for proximity shots balanced with nice out-of-focus. They both have very high details and high overall performances in their respective usage.

Any interest in a quick meeting in Rotterdam in April ‘24?
Alberti replied to Alberti's topic in Events & Member Meetings
But still I hesitate to react to those who call me Kuyper (the international brand of liquors for mixing) instead of Kuijper . Why? . . 🥲 Though the Y is thought to be as difficult as the tough distinction of Y and IJ, it can be learned. Do rules apply? Dunno. It does indeed require a thorough study in grammar school. It’s tough to get through to to core. Though I was fast, learning it thoroughly in second grade already, it remained an enigma. English has its peculiarities too as you know. Nono English is straightforward, you might say. But not for thos on the other side of the strait. Anyway, we are out for a bright day with nice cumulus clouds so I take a dark red filter along. -
I am in Belgium. I don’t know this legal obligation, never heard of. Is there an official info about this ? anyway, 10 weeks announced is 50 works days, so it’s more or less the same 🙂

Perhaps this explanation will help clarify why it is possible to return equipment for up to three weeks after purchase at some stores in some places. "BECAUSE." I'm not sure why anyone would think they rate a more detailed explanation than that. 😉

Perhaps that's a discussion you can have with the sellers. Clearly, they have found that this policy works in their favor. Before the SL, the last time I returned anything of consequence was about 3 yrs ago. A Voigtlander lens, which I exchanged for a brand new new Zeiss 25mm ZM. The Zeiss cost me an extra 350 bucks. The policy works. Cheers, P.

Again, the old question: which one lens to carry
irenedp replied to Einst_Stein's topic in Leica S System
I like the 35 although don't have one in S format. My first Leica was a Q1 and although it took me a while to get used to it, I appreciate the wide but not too much, and the cinematic effects of the lens; and have a 28 mm for the M. I could not find a 35 at a reasonable price for the S and got a 30 instead, but would have preferred it. I think it distorts less and is interesting for contextual portraits. WIth all wide lenses, when there is architecture implied, you have to step back a bit so that when you correct the lines you still get the scene you intended. -

My interpretation of a new exhibition in the NGV based on the artists experiences with broken and destroyed statues etc from her home town in Georgia. My view is all done in the camera as a single exposure. M10 & 15mm Voigt lens.

For a compact travel camera, I absolutely swear by Leica. I've been using the Leica Q2 for my adventures, and it's been a game-changer. The image quality is top-notch, especially in low light situations. I remember capturing the stunning night sky during a camping trip, and the results were breathtaking.

Never really had a digital workflow since I still shoot film. I've simply just imported scans of filmed images into Lightroom 5.7 and worked with them that way. Also, I just found out Lightroom now goes all the way up to 13.2. 1. Would I really benefit in any real way with an updated version of Lightroom such as 13.2? 2. Thinking about trying out digital with a Leica SL3. Would my Lightroom 5.7 work well with that? Thanks

+1. All I can say is that SL21 delivers beautifully. As does the other SL APOs. On my side, SL21 and SL35APO are on the top. I also love SL50Lux (not for its size and weight, but for a very pleasant rendering). On the longer side, I either pick SL90APO or, for a less perfect but still lovely rendering, Sigma 85mm DG DN f1.4. So many choises, where Leica’s SL APO Crons are all outstanding and internally consistent wrt colours. Sigma 14-24 and WATE are also fine, but SL21 is a step or two) up. For astrophotigraphy, 21mm can be on the long side, so in this case Sigma 14-21, or Sigma 14mm DG DN, are good choises.

Hug Point, Oregon coast. Driven by many times but decided to have a look this time. Interesting pace with a waterfall and caves accessible at low tide. Here are a few shots.
